Title: The Descending Darkness
Author: Michael Chulsky
Series: Stand Alone
Genre: Sci-Fantasy (Science
Fiction/Fantasy)
Publisher: Rocking Horse Publishing
Release Date: Sept 28 2013
Blurb/Synopsis:
Seventeen-year-old bounty hunter SHADOW is
about to lose his mind. One week he's killing demons and other creatures. The
next, he has ten super-powered teenagers in his care. Shadow needs their help,
because without them he can’t hope to complete his mission. But he’s never
dealt with other teenagers before. He’s always been a loner. Heck, he’s tried
the whole having-a-pet thing. It died.
Shadow’s mission: save the world and ensure
his entire team survives the potential apocalypse. If MAEDARA, self-proclaimed
fashionista, Queen of Evil, and diva extraordinaire wasn’t trying to rule the
world, it’d be cake. Now, not only does Shadow have to deal with teens more
concerned with going to the mall than fighting evil, but also a villain who, in
his opinion, makes Lady Gaga look like Mother Theresa.

My ideal hero needs to be brave and smart. I think that bravery and intelligence are the two most important attributes that a person can have.
3. What qualities make up your least favorite heroine?
Well, I was raised by a few strong women. I guess they kind of rubbed off on me because I like a tough girl – I can’t stand damsels in distress. I know that not everyone is tough and weakness is okay, but it just appeals to me more when a person harnesses their inner strength and kicks ass.

When writing, if someone talks to me it totally throws me off and I tend to get very snippy.
I like collecting things. Specifically: hats, comic books, beanie babies, and some other things. I also like playing video games.
I like to read romance and anything that has love in it. I have major respect for romance writers because love is in short supply and they supplement the world with it.
I would have to choose Shadow. If anything were to happen to me, he could always turn me into a vampire and I’d be fine! ^.^
I’ve always been into different media (tv shows, books, movies, etc) that had teenagers acquire super powers. It’s just so fascinating to me. As time went on, my imagination took me on a journey to a different world and my “imaginary friends” lived there. They told me their story and I knew that I had to write it.
I’d have to say lust or wrath. And I indulge in lust the most.
I’m inspired most by my friends and family. I’m also inspired by anyone who has the courage to stand up for what they believe in.
My favorite quote from any source:
“Love mattered, in the end. A house without love would always fall, maybe not today or tomorrow, but in the end without love nothing could endure.” – Laurell K. Hamilton, Bullet.
“I despise your mother.”
“My mother?”
“Yes, she gave birth to you; therefore, by extension, she’s the cause of all my suffering. It’s all her fault and I just want her dead.”
“Master, she’s already dead. You killed her, remember?”
“Oh isn’t that just great? You’re motherless and I’m unhappy. This world sucks.”
My latest project is my novel! :P
But for the future, I’m working on an anthology. =)
