Date of Publication: 7/4/13

After one night of wild freedom, Lillian Michaels must decide between the secret of her werewolf pack, her family, her word and true love.
The world changed for Lillian Michaels the day Marcus chose her. Gorgeous, strong fierce…and soon he would be alpha of her werewolf pack. But then the marriage was set. No choice. No looking back. Except, she did. Lillian started looking forward, too, and wondering if eighteen was too young to give away her life.

Certainly, it is tonight. A rock concert. She and her friend, intoxicating music, sweat, bodies, freedom…and him: Paul. The human bassist’s touch makes her soul sing like the strings of his axe, and everything is possible. Yet, Lillian’s parents, her secrets, her entire world lies elsewhere. Paul doesn’t even see what she is, what she can do. What she must do. This to-die-for human is not of her kind. And yet, something special, something terrifyingly perfect, something eternally true has been…born of lies.

The last thing Allison Wright ever expected when she moved to Red Ridge, New Mexico was to come muzzle to muzzle with the wolf of her dreams.

Seventeen-year-old Allison Wright is convinced she’s losing her mind. Uncontrollable mood swings, hot flashes, and the urge to punch anyone who gets in her way are suddenly becoming everyday occurrences. Before her erratic behavior gets out of hand, Allison’s mother finally comes clean about her dark secret. Mom is a werewolf, and soon Allison and her brother Aiden will suffer the same fate. When Allison reaches her breaking point, the family leaves their life in Texas to move to Red Ridge, New Mexico where they rejoin the pack that Allison’s mother left behind almost 20 years ago.

Unfortunately, not everyone in Red Ridge is thrilled about Allison’s arrival, especially when she attracts the attention of the very handsome, very taken, soon-to-be alpha, Cade Walker. Little does Allison know, her mere presence is causing a rift in a once unified pack. Not only has Cade been forbidden from being with Allison by his father, the pack’s alpha, Cade’s girlfriend, Kendall Stuart, will stop at nothing to get Allison out of the picture. Well on her way to becoming the next alpha’s mate, Kendall expects to rule the pack by Cade’s side even if it means teaming up with a rogue werewolf with an agenda of his own. Determined to get rid of Allison permanently, when Kendall and the rogue join forces, all hell breaks loose and no one in the pack is safe, especially not Cade and his true mate.

Since her mother’s disappearance, Teagan Rhodes’s life has been littered with her father’s empty beer cans and his hollow promises to change. Convinced that others would only let her down, she keeps everyone at arm’s length—but resisting Aiden’s charm is proving to be more difficult than she thought. Throw in a psychotic werewolf hunter out to terminate the species, and one wrong move, one wrong decision could destroy everything.

Interview
1. Tell us 5 things that make you happy.

Family, me-time, Mexican food, vacations, and awesome book reviews

2. What makes your perfect man, perfect? What do you look for in a hero?

Let’s see... hot, strong, funny, charming, passionate, and smart. Sexy tattoos don’t hurt either. We always try to make our heroes all of the above and then some, but they can’t be too perfect or it wouldn’t be realistic. Everyone has flaws, so all of our heroes do as well, but that’s what makes them interesting.

3. What qualities make up your least favourite heroine?

To be blunt, we both despise stupid heroines. Do our heroines make stupid mistakes or decisions sometimes? Sure, but we all do, right? Our heroines have to be strong, smart females that can take care of themselves. They don’t need a man to complete them, but that doesn’t mean they can’t fall head-over-heels for our hero.

4. Do you have any quirks? When writing, or otherwise?

Not really. Other than we gossip entirely too much when we are together, and at times we don’t get much writing done at all. We have learned we are much better off planning together and writing on our own. Otherwise, it would probably take twice as long to get anything written.

5. Do you have any hobbies that you take part in when you aren’t writing?

We are both busy wives and moms who teach full time, so finding time just to write sometimes is difficult, but we both love a good Romance novel and read any chance we get. This summer while we were off, we both read something like 40 novels. The loan option on the Kindle really came in handy.

6. What do you like to read?

We both stick mainly to Romances, anything from YA to super steamy. We love it all, but lately the New Adult Romance genre is flooding our Kindles.

7. If you had to pick one of your characters to survive a zombie apocalypse with, who would it be and why?

We’re going to have to go with Luke Stanton. He is the main character in book 3 of The Red Ridge Pack, who you all will be meeting very soon. That book is in edits with our editor, and we are hoping it is released within a month or so. Luke is the pack’s next Enforcer, so he is strong, smart, and one tough cookie.

8. Tell us a bit about how the idea for your book came about.

The decision to write Born of Lies was actually our publisher’s idea. The story was already there, in bits and pieces anyway, in book one and two since Born of Lies based upon the parents’ story of the main characters of Pack of Lies and Circle of Lies (that was a mouth full). We just had to go in and fill in all the blanks, and we are so glad we did because we ended up loving this story. In book one, Pack of Lies, we thought it would be funny to make Allison and Aiden’s father a former bass player in a punk band. Never did we think we would actually write his story. Needless to say, writing Born of Lies was a blast. Not only did we get to write about a sexy rock star, but it is set in 1994, so we got to go back in time and write about what life was like back in the day.

9. Which of the seven deadly sins are you most partial to? Which do you indulge in the most?

Hmmm... interesting questions. We’ll go with lust, gluttony, sloth (Sara), and pride (Staci). We can both be over-indulgent, lustful women at times. And truth be told, Sara loves her naps, and Staci loves to look good.

10. Who is the person who most inspired you? Either in your life, or writing?

Our family’s have been inspirational to us both, but in terms of writing, other authors who have written those all-consuming type books that we wish we had written ourselves (maybe we should add envy to # 9) have inspired us to keep writing and pushing ourselves to get better and better with each novel we write.

11. Do you have a favourite quote?

Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken. ~Oscar Wilde

12. Can you tell us a little about your latest project?

Our latest release, Born of Lies, is a prequel to The Red Ridge Pack series, though it would be best read after the first two novels in the series, Pack of Lies and Circle of Lies. It actually begins where book two left off and then quickly flashes back in time. In Born of Lies, Lillian Michaels takes us back to 1994. At eighteen years old, she is engaged to a man she doesn’t love and dreading the future that is being forced upon her, but fate intervenes and she finds herself falling for with the last person she’d ever expected, a human in a punk rock band. Our readers get a chance to find out when and how all the lies of The Red Ridge Pack began.

13. Last but not least, if you could be anyone else in the world, who would it be, and why?

That would have to be John Green, simply because he is an absolute genius, literary and otherwise. Not only has he written some of the best novels out there, but he is hilariously entertaining and somehow manages to create the most awesomely realistic characters in his books time and time again. There’s that little sin called envy popping up again
Thank you so much for stopping by and talking to us!
